This is listed somewhere as one of the ones that works. This is a great product if you need to charge or access multiple USB devices at once. The USB Hub is both self-powered and comes with an external power adapter to support various small and large USB devices, which require more power than USB power can provide on its own. Another rule of design is that only low power usb clients have the usb connector connected to the device directly. Although the L4THUB10 hub sports a label indicating the Input is 5V, mA, I see no reason why each port cannot draw that unless the GLG is programmed to limit the collective units of power to each intelligent downstream device. It should be noted that for almost all permutations and combinations, the current of the GLG is stated as more than mA, and a maximum of mA. This reduces the power delivery to individual ports and high-powered USB peripherals, such as external hard drives, may not start.

In this case, power is drawn from the computer’s USB port, as described above.
This unit has the ability to simultaneously fast-charge up to three mobile devices, all three USB-A ports. A big problem with many online retailers is that items this small come in layers of packaging and you are left with several boxes, often large. The datasheet suggests automatic switching can be performed between bus powered and self powered modes, although how this affects behaviour or current draw is not clear to me.
I got this product from Startech to test and it is a great tool when you need to charge multiple items at the same time and in need of more USB ports and in my case my laptop has only 2 ports. Please make sure that you’ve entered a valid question. The ‘may have been dropped’ errors you had are not the fault of the hub per se. It so happens that I’m very fond of StarTech for many reasons but I have went out of my way to remain objective.

There’s a problem loading this menu at the moment. If you use the power cable, you can power several devices and re-charge things without the awful “Slow Charge warning”.
You may need to disconnect and re-connect your USB device after applying these settings to re-establish the connection. It is always recommended to use an included power supply with a USB hub when possible. Email Newsletter Signup Email me the latest products, deals, contests and promotions. Plugging in the big USB plug It’s obvious that many devices aren’t designed properly. You can install the versatile USB 3.
However your logikk — such as an external hard drive — might require much more than this and this is where a powered USB hub comes into play.
This is one of the best made small hubs I’ve used.

So, having covered the power details, I suspect the USB issues huh out by drgeoff above will prove to be at the heart of this, but if the Pi USB ports are limited to mA hun then the L4THUB10 is taking it towards the red zone as more downstream devices are plugged into it, particularly so for High Speed devices which can potentially push the L4THUB10 to draw mA from the host, even when it is powered.
This appears to be the current to generate the comms, not the current to power any downstream devices.
Specially at startup, harddisks can exceed huv mA specification. Without the adapter it’s of limited value. When you test your cables, it is recommended that you do the logkk I run several computers that are mostly cloud machines, and I never have enough USB ports. It also comes with a power adapter that is not needed if you are just using it for one device but useful if charging multiple or high powered devices. Having read that the Raspberry Pi has polyfuse protection, and that the unpowered L4THUB10 will sink current into any connected loads at the time presumably no more than mA each, until permitted to draw morethe L4THUB10 appears to need using with care near a Raspberry Pi.
I have a similar problem with my LogiLink UA, but I guess there’s no way for me to cut ush ‘red wires’, heh. With three fast-charge ports, this hub helps ensure that your tablets and smartphones are charged and ready to use when you need them. You can test to make sure logij the following components are working correctly and are not the source of the issue:.
