NicholasMcG Created on January 11, I’m having a slightly different problem. What we need to do is to adjust the power settings.
The computer discovers the receiver and tranceiver receiver with no problem at startup. Sorry this didn’t help.
I’ll tinker with it tonight and see what I can find. One is already connected to the Comcast Set Top box and the other was empty. Mine is built in and directly wired to the Motherboard Now that I think about it, it may be combined with my internal card reader as a single usb hub. eHome Infrared Transceiver not working on Windows7!!!
Click the link with the blue letters and makes sure the settings for it are set to look first at Windows Updates. J Here is the HP forum link http: I know it’s a bit late, but I have the same problem with an external card reader, using the same software. I would take the external card usbxir and plug it into a different USB port, if it still fails again it is a completely different problem than described here.
It is, there is nothing infrared about it, however for some reason ehomw requires the eHome Infrared Tranciever” to run, it’s probably just a reconstructed version of the built in remote device usgcir this purpose. I have tried connecting just the card reader to a MOBO USB, the card reader with the front connector port box connected to it and to the tuner card, the card reader with extender attached, etc.
